On this relaxed weekend escape you can join some classes that will help restore balance by releasing tightness; improving posture and calming the mind.
Alongside plenty of time to relax – and maybe catch up with a friend – enjoy time away from the daily routine and surround yourself with nature.
Waking up to bird song and country air, you will immediately feel the calming effect of being immersed in one of the the prettiest parts of England. After a morning class to wake up the body, followed by a leisurely full English breakfast, you can then choose how you would like to spend your free time.
Whether you fancy a gentle stroll amongst the fields or a longer hike, or perhaps a potter around the local villages, you can be sure that the Peak District National Park will not fail to delight.
After a late afternoon class with Cilla, there will be a chance to have a massage or treatment with a professional therapist. An invigorating sports one if you’ve spent the day hiking, or a more soothing and calming one if that’s what your body is crying out for.**
Having a massage tailored to your needs can be very restorative, and help you feel like the best version of you again.
By the evening you should feel refreshed and relaxed, looking forward to a delicious meal in the village – a wonderful way to end the day.
Venue & Location
Hartington Hall is a stunning 17th century Manor House, full of character and charm. It has its own restaurant; a bar and several social areas to relax in. The beautifully kept grounds are a haven for local wildlife, and sitting on a bench in the grounds listening to all the different birds chattering above is a simple pleasure.
Nestled in the lovely village of Hartington, this is an unspoilt and beautiful part of the Peak District National Park. It’s popular with walkers & cyclists alike, having a number of pubs, coffee shops & a village store.
But above all it’s a picture-perfect country English village that you will want to return to time and again.
Classes with Cilla Thwaites
Cilla has over 20 years experience in teaching fitness and pilates classes, and makes everyone feel welcome whatever their ability-level. She keeps classes light-hearted & enjoyable whilst providing clear technical guidance.
You will begin to feel looser and more relaxed with each class.
Pilates works the deep stabilising muscles to improve strength and posture. It has a strong mind/body connection, so you might like it if you like yoga.
It involves precise moves and specific breathing techniques and increases body awareness which encourages efficient and graceful movement.
Total Stretch is a wonderful refreshing tonic for the whole body, helping keep muscles flexible, strong & healthy. Flexibility allows us to maintain a range of motion in the joints, helping prevent muscles from shortening and becoming tight.
Regular deep stretching enhances our physical performance and helps reduce risks of injury, and by releasing tension and knots through stretching, the body also feels really good!
Cilla offers alternatives throughout her classes making them suitable for most people whatever your level of fitness and experience.

A full hot & cold breakfast buffet is included on both mornings, and on Friday evening we will have a delicious meal at the venue in a relaxing atmosphere. For Saturday evening we will make a reservation in a great local restaurant, where we hope you will join us, but of course you are free to make your own arrangements if you prefer.
There is a very well-equipped self-catering kitchen where you might like to prepare a meal or lunch yourself. This is convenient if you have any particular dietary reuqirements.
You will be able to check into you room from 3pm on Friday, and you are more than welcome to arrive earlier and enjoy the facilities and grounds, or explore Hartington village. Check-out is at 10am on Sunday or for a minimal charge you have the option to check-out at noon.
Classes will be before breakfast, with another early evening, and then our last session on Sunday morning.

Rooms & Prices
Choose either a single or twin room. Some are en-suite, and all have a shower and a sink. There is also a self-contained flat with lounge & dining area, TV, kitchenette, bathroom and large bedroom.
The price is £249-£299 p.p. based on full occupancy according to the accommodation chosen.
There are no rooms remaining.
**Please note, treatments and massages require a minimum number of bookings to be able to go ahead and will need to be requested in advance.

Deposits and Payment
Full payment, or a minimum non-refundable deposit of £50 secures your place. Any bookings made after the 18th August are to be paid in full.

Once we receive your request we will reserve the rooms for 72 hours if they’re available, and following payment we will confirm your booking.
